A botulinum toxin type A without complexing proteins, used for expression lines, jaw slimming and sweating.
Xeomin (incobotulinumtoxinA, by Merz) is a botulinum toxin type A without complexing proteins, used like Botox to relax muscles that cause forehead lines, frown lines and crow's feet, and for jaw slimming or sweating. Injections take 10–20 minutes with little downtime; effects start in 3–5 days and usually last 3–5 months. In Gangnam forehead lines cost about ₩100,000–₩250,000 and masseter slimming ₩300,000–₩600,000.
What is Xeomin?
Xeomin (incobotulinumtoxinA) is a purified botulinum toxin type A made by Merz. Like Botox and Dysport it temporarily relaxes targeted muscles to soften wrinkles. It contains only the active neurotoxin without complexing proteins, which may lower the chance of antibody formation with long-term repeated use, although resistance is uncommon with any brand at cosmetic doses.
