Nest Clinic Gangnam FAQ
Your guide to consultations, treatment options, pricing, and visiting our English-speaking skin clinic in Seoul.
Nest Clinic Gangnam is a boutique skin clinic on Gangnam-daero with an all-female team of English-speaking doctors and staff. We welcome patients of every gender and provide personalized care based on your skin, your goals, and your time in Korea.
Planning Your Visit
1. Can I have my consultation and treatment on the same day?
Yes. Most consultations and suitable treatments can be completed during the same visit.
Your appointment begins with a Mark-Vu skin analysis followed by a consultation with your doctor. Together, you will discuss your concerns and agree on a treatment plan before proceeding.
Some treatments require preparation, recovery time, or separate appointments. Let us know your travel dates so we can help you plan your visit.
2. Do the doctors and staff speak English?
Yes. All doctors and staff at Nest Clinic Gangnam speak fluent English. You can discuss your concerns, ask questions, and receive aftercare instructions directly from the team caring for you.
Chinese and Japanese language support is also available. Please let us know your preferred language when booking.
For appointments and questions, contact us through WhatsApp at +82 10-4843-2867 or Instagram @nestclinic_en.
3. Are all doctors and staff female?
Yes. Our medical and support teams are entirely female, and patients of every gender are welcome.
For body treatments involving areas such as the shoulders, hip dips, or buttocks, consultations and treatment are handled by female team members.
Whether you are considering a subtle facial adjustment or body contouring, we take time to understand your preferences and discuss the proposed changes before treatment.
4. Where is Nest Clinic Gangnam located?
Nest Clinic Gangnam is located on floors 4 and 5 of the Seocho Building at 453 Gangnam-daero, Seocho-gu, Seoul.
The clinic is close to Exit 7 of Sinnonhyeon Station and within walking distance of Exit 10 of Gangnam Station, making it convenient to visit while exploring the Gangnam area.
5. How can I reach the clinic from the airport?
From Gimpo Airport, Subway Line 9 provides a direct connection to Sinnonhyeon Station without a transfer. Express trains offer a faster journey than local services.
From Incheon Airport, you can travel to the Gangnam area by airport limousine bus or taxi, then continue to the clinic near Sinnonhyeon Station.
Travel times vary with traffic and service schedules. If you plan to visit on your arrival day, allow extra time for immigration, baggage collection, and transportation.
Fees and Payment
6. Is there a consultation fee?
The consultation fee is 55,000 KRW, including a Mark-Vu skin analysis. This fee is waived if you proceed with treatment on the same day.
The analysis helps assess concerns such as visible pores, wrinkles, pigmentation, and sebum-related features. Your doctor reviews the findings alongside an in-person examination and your treatment goals.
7. Can I receive my skin analysis report in my own language?
Yes. Mark-Vu reports are available in 11 languages: Korean, English, Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, Spanish, French, German, Russian, Portuguese, and Polish.
You can access your report on your phone through a QR code and keep it for future reference.
8. What payment methods do you accept?
We accept major international credit cards, Apple Pay, and cash in Korean won.
No deposit or advance payment is required to reserve an appointment. Your treatment plan and costs are discussed at the clinic before you decide to proceed.
9. Can international patients receive a VAT refund on cosmetic treatments?
The special VAT refund scheme for foreign visitors receiving eligible cosmetic medical treatments ended for services provided after December 31, 2025. Treatments received in 2026 therefore do not qualify under that scheme.
This is a national policy change rather than a clinic-specific decision. Our team can explain the applicable charges before treatment.
Understanding Our Pricing and Approach
10. Are prices the same for international and Korean patients?
Yes. We charge the same prices regardless of nationality.
Your total cost depends on the treatments selected, the products used, the treatment volume or dosage, and the number of sessions recommended. These details are discussed during your consultation.
11. Why do treatment prices vary between clinics in Gangnam?
Treatments with the same name may differ in the product, quantity, device, treatment settings, and level of personalized care included.
At Nest Clinic Gangnam, we focus on:
- Clear quantities: Your plan specifies the product and treatment amount.
- Product transparency: You can ask to see injectable products and applicable single-use tips unsealed before treatment.
- Individual assessment: Recommendations reflect your consultation, skin analysis, and examination.
- Doctor experience: Our doctors hold manufacturer-appointed Key Doctor roles involving physician education.
- Selected lifting platforms: Our lifting options include Ultherapy PRIME, Thermage FLX, and XERF. We do not offer InMode, Onda, or Oligio.
Our pricing reflects a boutique approach with time for consultation and an individually planned treatment.
12. How is Nest Clinic different from a high-volume clinic?
Our approach centers on personal attention, direct communication, and treatment planning around the individual.
You receive care from an all-female, English-speaking team. Your doctor considers your skin condition, facial or body structure, preferences, and previous treatments before recommending a plan.
Our doctors also hold Key Doctor appointments with filler manufacturers. These roles involve sharing product knowledge and injection techniques with other physicians.
Appointments are arranged to allow time for assessment, questions, and a clear explanation of your options.
Lifting and Skin Tightening
13. What is the difference between Ultherapy PRIME, Thermage FLX, and XERF?
These devices use different technologies to address skin laxity and firmness.
| Treatment | Technology | Main distinction |
|---|---|---|
| Ultherapy PRIME | Microfocused ultrasound with visualization | Provides real-time imaging to help the doctor select treatment depths |
| Thermage FLX | Monopolar radiofrequency | Heats tissue to address skin firmness and the appearance of wrinkles |
| XERF | Dual-frequency monopolar radiofrequency | Uses 6.78 MHz and 2 MHz frequencies to deliver energy at multiple tissue depths |
Ultherapy PRIME provides ultrasound visualization during treatment. XERF uses two radiofrequency frequencies, distinguishing it from a simple equivalent of Thermage.
The most suitable option depends on your skin laxity, facial structure, existing volume, and goals. Your doctor may recommend one treatment or a combination where appropriate.
Mark-Vu imaging supports the skin assessment, while the physical examination and any relevant device imaging guide treatment selection and settings.
Body and Facial Contouring
14. How much filler is needed for shoulder, hip dip, or buttock contouring?
There is no single amount that suits everyone.
The appropriate volume depends on your body frame, existing contours, asymmetry, treatment area, and desired result. A preliminary estimate may be possible before your visit, but the final recommendation requires an in-person assessment.
Your doctor will discuss whether filler is suitable, which product would be used, the proposed volume, and the relevant risks and aftercare before treatment.
15. What options are available for naturally slim or hollow cheeks?
The first step is to determine whether the concern comes from volume loss, skin laxity, or a combination of both.
For naturally lean faces, preserving existing volume is an important consideration. Depending on your assessment, your doctor may discuss carefully selected skin-tightening treatments, dermal fillers, or collagen-stimulating treatments such as Sculptra or Radiesse.
The aim is to improve balance while respecting your natural facial structure. Not every treatment is suitable for every area or face.
16. What can help with under-eye hollowness?
Under-eye concerns can have several causes, including structural volume loss, thin skin, pigmentation, and visible blood vessels.
Treatment depends on the underlying concern. Your doctor may discuss options for skin quality or, where appropriate, carefully selected treatment for volume loss.
The under-eye area requires particular care. Not all fillers or collagen-stimulating products are suitable for direct use in this area, and some concerns may be better addressed without injections. Recommendations are made after an in-person assessment.
Treatment Programs and Skin Care
17. What if I do not know which treatment I need?
You do not need to choose a device or procedure before your visit.
Our One-Day programs are organized around concerns such as facial lifting, double chin contouring, nasolabial folds, visible pores, and body contouring.
After your skin analysis and consultation, your doctor will discuss which treatments are appropriate and whether they can be combined in one visit. Program pricing offers savings compared with booking the same included treatments separately.
The final plan also takes your recovery time and travel schedule into account.
18. Can I book a facial or skin care treatment without injections or lasers?
Yes. We offer skin care treatments for patients who prefer options beyond injections and laser procedures.
Available treatments include:
- Aqua Peel: Hydradermabrasion for cleansing and exfoliation.
- Lala Peel: An LHA-based peeling treatment.
- Black Peel: A peeling option for selected oily or breakout-prone skin concerns.
- Gold PTT: A light-based treatment option for selected acne concerns.
- FCR: A resurfacing treatment.
- Q-Facial: A facial treatment focused on cleansing and hydration.
- LDM: Ultrasound-based skin care.
- SkinCeuticals care: Treatments incorporating professional skin care products.
Many sessions take approximately 12 to 60 minutes. Treatment intensity and recovery needs vary, so your doctor will help select an option that suits your skin and schedule.
19. Can I buy professional skin care products at the clinic?
Yes. We carry a selection of professional skin care products, including ranges that may be difficult to find in mainstream Korean beauty stores.
Available products include:
- Dr. Esthe Madecassona Repair Cream
- Dermagen Dr. Picos Ezen Cica Cream
- Usolab Bio Intensive K Cream
- Histolab Enzyme Powder Wash
Recommendations are based on your skin condition and any treatments you receive. Your team will explain when and how to use each product, particularly after procedures when exfoliation or certain ingredients may need to be paused.
